Dr Wico Lai

Research Interests :

My primary research interests are in rhegmatogenous retinal detachment and in angiogenesis. I am actively involved in ongoing international collaborative trials and basic science studies in areas of retinopathy of prematurity, rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Through our research efforts, I hope to develop efficacious therapeutic agents and treatment modalities that will ultimately benefit our patients who are afflicted with blinding eye diseases.
